Upon his return to the cave Bean squealed with delight and lept with joy at not only how beautiful the gift was but that the Bear had thought of her while out and for no special reason at all had brought her this gift of color.

Sometimes LOVE is Yellow...
On April 18th just an average Saturday in the Bean and Bear cave, tummies started to grumble. A decision was made. The Bear would go out in search of food to bring back to his family. While the Bear was out something caught his eye. The most beautiful color yellow! It was so beautiful that he knew he had to bring it back to the cave and give it to his Bean, for she loved all things of colorful beauty.

Flowers on a Sunny Day...
There are times when I am just plain old happy to live where I do. A few weeks ago walking around our apartment complex was just pure joy. Weiner and I would grab the leash and a camera and stroll out the door.
The sun was perfect and you just wanted to fill your eyeballs with every single ray.
I'm not a girl that "loves" the color pink but I have to say these are gorgeous.
The soft papery feel of the petals, the blue sky and all is right with the world.
No, REALLY It Was A Blue Ribbon...
For those of you faithful Bean Blog followers you may remember a post And the BLUE RIBBON goes to (drum roll please)... as it turns out we were right!
On May 1st in my hometown of North Canton Ohio my Grandfather sat back in his recliner and began enjoying the local paper, The Canton Repository. From the kitchen my Grandmother heard the following "Joyce! I think this is us in the paper!"
As it turns out they were in the paper. My mother had entered her painting "American Condo" in the annual May Show that is held at The Little Art Gallery of The North Canton Public Library. Her painting had been chosed to be in the paper to advertise the next day's Opening Reception of The May Show! These are photos of the actual artical that was in the paper.
***WARNING*** THERE IS A MISTAKE IN THIS PAPER!!!!!! Can you spot it? Look close, once you see it you'll want to write a letter to the editor.

The error should be easy for those of you who have been following this story. The paper got the name of the painting WRONG! It's "American Condo" NOT "your condo". The title of this painting is the whole point! If you don't know why, I can't really help you other than to tell you to follow the link to the previous post about this painting.
Now, about the BLUE RIBBON. My mother won 1st Place in Painting!! Let me repeat that, 1st Place! This actually isn't a suprise to those of us who know this painting, it's just wonderful that it's now been recognized by the whole world! Yay!
