The magic of a blossom

Yesterday I stood at my patio door and was amazed to watch before my eyes the trees begin to blossom. It's as if they took one giant breath in and said to themselves, this is the moment we have been waiting for. Almost at once with the sun in their face they began to let loose into the world those tiny buds of wonder. Being able to look out my door and see the pink lace of Spring is the greatest joy I can imagine. Everyone should have flowering trees to look at and make them smile.

This weekend is the start of the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC and weather permitting look for lots of photos to be posted!! This weekend should be peak, the radio reported that they are on time this year! I have yet to make it to the Cherry Blossoms so this year it is a must.

Spring is in the air

Even though today it's raining my mood will not be drowned out! I have found that a few days of Spring weather and sun will lift the spirit to new heights! Living in an apartment shaded by huge pine trees not much light gets in these big windows so spirits tend to be low and asses drag. Over the last couple days once I drag myself out of this apartment great elation awaits me! I have not experienced this type of happy for almost a year, last spring in Nevada! Now don't get me wrong nothing will replace the Nevada Happies but at least I am getting close here in Virginia and that's saying something! Pictured above is a little postcard that I threw together the other evening when my smiles bubbles over into my paint. I recently bought an new fun green purse at Ross and it demanded to be painted and shared! If your mood just seems stuck, go out and buy yourself an new accessory in a funky color, you'll be surprised to find just how far your mood can be lifted. Let your heart be light and sing a silly song while in the elevator, you just might find the mood is contagious and people will thank you.
